Square Root
Square root of a number is another number, which
multiplied by itself will give you the original number.
Example:
The square root of 9 is 3. 3 is another number which multiplied by itself gives
9, the original number).
A calculator is needed to find many. Put the number in the
calculator and push the square root button.
Example:
Square root of 10 Enter 10 in the calculator, then press the square root
button-- 3.16227. Now round it to the nearest hundredth.-- 3.16. To round a
number, look at the the number to the right of the place you want to round. If
it is a 5 or more add 1 to the place, if it is less than 5 the place stays the
same.
Example:
3 times the square root of 5. Put 5 in your calculator, push the square root
button, giving 2.23606----. Multiply this number by 3 and get 6.708--. Round
this number to the nearest tenth. The tenth place is the number 7.
