Rules:

1. If the numbers have the same sign the product or quotient will be positive.

2. If the numbers have different signs the product or quotient will be negative.

Examples: Perform the indicated operations:
1. (+3) (–5) = -15	5. – 12 (-3) = 4
2. (–8) (7) = -56	6. –27 3 = -9
3. (–6) (-5) = 30	7. –6 (-8) = 0.75
4. (+4) (+3) = 12	8. –18 / 2 = -9

9. Multiply (-5) by (-3).
(-5) x (-3) = +15
