Help With Mid Point

• Mid Points
  • Example: What is the mid point between 2,-4 and 4,6?
  • To find the midpoint add the 2 x coordinates together and add the 2 y coordinates and divide each by 2.
  • The formula for finding the midpoint is:
    x(1) + x(2)      y(1) + y(2)
            2                     2
  • 2+4 =  6   =  3 ( The x coordinate)    
     2       2                                             
  •  -4+6 =  2  = 1 (The y coordinate)
        2      2   
  • The mid point is 3,1
